ABOUT ALESSANDRO PARISI
Leading a national commercial organization in one of the most complex, pioneering, and high-stakes markets ever created in European pharma is not just a leadership challenge — it is a market-building mission. The obesity space in Italy didn’t exist a few years ago. There were no established pathways, no consolidated prescribing habits, no proven playbooks. Building and scaling a commercial organization in this environment requires a rare combination of scientific credibility, change management, and the ability to lead through sustained ambiguity. This is where I operate every day.My path in pharma spans over 20 years — from field sales at Menarini and Pfizer to progressively senior commercial roles at Novo Nordisk across Diabetes and Obesity. A defining chapter was my time in Zurich as Training & Development Manager for the Region Europe, where I designed and led talent and leadership development programs across multiple countries. That experience shaped how I think about organizations: performance is built on people, and people need structure, clarity, and growth to deliver.I hold a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Sapienza University of Rome — a scientific foundation that has always informed how I engage with medical communities and shape commercial strategy. What drives me is the belief that obesity is one of the most underserved and misunderstood health challenges of our time. Being part of the effort to change that — scientifically, commercially, and culturally — is what gives meaning to my work. I am motivated by building organizations that can operate at the intersection of innovation, responsibility, and long‑term impact, creating sustainable growth while helping redefine how healthcare systems, physicians, and society approach chronic disease.
