Innovation Process Monitoring - Applying a data-driven approach to the innovation process, I’ve been deeply involved in designing dashboards to track the entire progress from scouting innovative firms to project outcomes in collaborating with them and related relevant KPIs to measure efficacy and efficiency. These dashboards support Enel Innovation in identifying areas of improvement, providing insights and easing reporting of periodical results to our top management (quarterly)- Startups & SMEs Portfolio Analysis – I conducted several in-depth periodic analyses of Enel’s innovation portfolio (especially including startups & SMEs), with a focus on: Supply contracts stipulated with Enel’s Business Lines (at Global or Local level) to evaluate their contribution to the overall value generated by collaborations with innovative firms; Venture Capital deals (and other kinds of financing) to assess startups\' and SMEs’ portfolio composition and measure Enel Innovation’s contribution to growth after project collaboration and solution scale-up; Collaboration with Innovation Teams in Enel’s Business Lines, supporting them in quantifying and highlighting the value generated, while smoothing the reporting of their figures- Collaborations with Third Parties - Focus on establishing and managing collaborations with stakeholders in the innovation ecosystems worldwide (i.e, other large corporates, investors, accelerators, innovation service providers, etc.) to design appropriate collaboration agreements. I managed the partnership with seven Group-relevant large corporates and reported numerical updates for all Enel Innovation partnerships- Technology Scouting - Provided support to Innovation Teams in the Customers’ business division to identify key innovation challenges and guide the process of scouting and evaluating solutions from worldwide innovation ecosystems. 5 scouting and intelligence activities were conducted during my first year in the role.
