ABOUT ALESSANDRO COLOMBO

From June 2023 I entered in the Swatch Group Assembly family taking the opportunity to be part of a project whose aim is to create a new business unit:the bracelets one. This challenge wants to create a new process flow for a new project on the way to arrive, and to be ready for this moment with everything prepared and organized. In this new organization I am covering the Supply Chain responsibility, paying attention to materials availability, adeguate planning and proper warehouse level of coverage, assuring customer needs with level of service and quality typical for The Swatch Group Assembly. From Jan 2021 I accepted the challenge to be part a very strong and structured company,Schurter Group,as Head Supply Chain Management for the EMC-EMS Competence Center in Mendrisio.with responsibilities on Material Planning,Purchasing and Logistics. The main task is to find the right availability of materials and capacity to satisfy customer requests,in a period affected by strange dynamics and huge changing.Until December 2020 my assignment in Schindler Supply Chain Europe as Supply Planning Manager was vi aged to optimize production needs to better fulfill the customer requirements: give continuity to the material flows in order to better satisfy the OTD objectives without overcharging the whole supply chain process and inventories was one of my main tasks, managing a team fully focused on targets accomplishments.Previosly my work was dedicated to analize both informations and materials\'s flows from the suppliers to the customers putting in place a list of indicators able to monitor production and distribution performances: these are some of the topics in my Management Control role into the new Planning Direction. Before this experience, I was Inserted in a commercial division of Mantero Seta, and my role was to manage with my group the flow of informations and goods from the commercial requirements to the production and purchasing items, and back, respecting the industrial needs and capacities. This continuous monitoring and re-balance offered the opportunity to be focus oriented and dinamic. Before May 2011 I was in charge of the Production Planning group of Alenia Aermacchi, whose topics were the same, with rules generated by a backflush planning with long time order.I reached Alenia Aermacchi after having experienced a period in the Industrial Marketing (BTicino S.p.A.) and also in the Logistic Operations Quality and Productivity Unit (Whirlpool Europe S.p.A.).My personal objective is to share knowledges with colleagues and people in general.
