I lead the scientific strategy and innovation for the CV, metabolism, pulmonary hypertension research (CVM & PH) portfolio and the Aging & Metabolism effort. With over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, I have a proven record of driving scientific excellence, advancing drug candidates, and creating value for the organization and the patients. My core competencies include building and managing high-performing research and multi-disciplinary drug development teams across multiple geographical locations, leading cross-functional collaborations and due diligences, and identifying and bringing forward internal and external opportunities to strengthen and diversify the CVM & PH portfolio. My field of expertise is metabolic disease, with a particular focus on obesity, cardiometabolic disease, and diabetes complications. I have extensive knowledge and experience in oligo, small, and large molecule capabilities, leveraging human biology and genetic and AI. I have authored over 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals and I am an active mentor, editor, and member of several professional societies and networks in CVMR & PH, Immunology and Neuroscience. My mission is to foster a collaborative and innovative environment for the research and discovery center, and to deliver novel and impactful solutions for unmet medical needs
