ABOUT ALESSANDRO AGOSTINI
I\'m a curious scientist with an extensive expertise on innovative technologies sustainability assessment. My objective? To contribute sustainable development of our species and try my best to leave an inhabitable planet to my children, who will likely, and hopefully, be alive in 2100. What is sustainable development? Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.(Bruntland report, 1987). What I find very insightful? the Planetary Boundaries concept https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planetary_boundaries. There is not just climate change threating the inhabitability of our planet. But also the \'safe and just space\' doughnut is intriguing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doughnut_(economic_model)(though a bit more questionable). I\'m truly technology neutral, having investigated the sustainability of a wide portfolio of technologies, spanning from milk and cheese to fuel cells, and including agrivoltaic, concentrated solar power, transport, hydrogen, CCS and a lot of bioenergy, biofuels and biomethane. I\'ve accumulated an extensive expertise as EU project evaluator and monitor.
