   Oversees work of one or more assistant directors or senior team members and their teams’ portfolios in order to drive the overall vision of the department and union. —Oversees specific and large bodies of work as set by the Digital Director including things such as development of the department’s anti-racist organization work, executive digital program, culture setting and team integration, recruitment and retention of personnel, team capacity building, contract and budget oversight, etc. —Assists Digital Director in overseeing work of all staff, including constant audits of external facing channels, to ensure high quality standards, best practices and consistency of message. Serves as deputy for the Digital Director in directing administrative management functions of the department including directing personnel actions and the work of hiring managers, related to recruitment, hiring, retention and staff development and firing. —Serves as deputy for the Digital Director in overseeing work of the staff to develop and manage the department’s budget. —Manages and coordinates across major contracts to ensure continuity and coordination of work as well as high-quality deliverables. Ensures that sophisticated choices are made about appropriate vendors and support services. —Represents the Digital Department in collaborations with other departments, divisions, and campaigns as well as externally as needed. —Ensures the digital work of the union is innovative and helps exceed industry standards.
