ABOUT ALEKSANDRA BEBEL
I am an X-ray crystallographer specialising in structural characterisation of proteins and their interactions with other molecules for Drug Discovery purposes. I have over 14 years laboratory experience in X-ray crystallography, protein expression and purification, protein and nucleic acid biochemistry, and microbiology, with projects spanning multiple therapeutic targets and often part of an Integrated Drug Discovery framework. I am particularly excited about fragment-based approaches for Hit Identification (especially crystallographic screening) and at my current position I coordinate the Integrated FBDD platform. I\'m interested in preclinical Drug Discovery project leadership, especially in the area of structural biology and fragment-based screening. I’m passionate about my research, and about working with like-minded people in international, dynamic settings. Apart from science, I enjoy learning languages (currently focusing on German and Spanish), experiencing new places and cultures, mountain trekking, and wilderness camping.
