Serving as Acting Director while maintaining my responsibilities as leader of the Engineering and Environmental Review Team and the Portfolio Management Team.Overseeing and providing leadership on all aspects of the WIFIA program: loan origination and underwriting, portfolio management and project monitoring, engineering and technical reviews of projects, federal requirements and environmental compliance, program communications, and operations and budget. On the investment side of the WIFIA program we currently have almost 150 loans for a US$22 billion lending portfolio (and growing) and disbursing approximately US$3.5 billion per year to utilities, municipal entities, tribes, and private organizations to support approximately US$49 billion in infrastructure projects.On the operational side, we manage an annual operational budget of about US$15 million from appropriated funds and fees that support an incredibly dedicated team of federal employees assisted by legal, engineering, financial, environmental, and program management contractors.
