ABOUT ALEJANDRO BALLESTEROS CRUZ
As a technologist and trader with quantitative skills, I combine my knowledge of macroeconomics, financial markets, computer science, and mathematics to build scalable trading systems and models, as well as conduct rigorous quantitative research. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, where I also worked as a research assistant in the MS & E department. Most recently, I was a quantitative researcher/developer at a Stealth startup that leverages stablecoins to create innovative solutions for the payments industry. Prior to that, I was a venture investor at Decasonic, where I focused on decentralized applications and financial technologies. I also have experience as a fixed-income trader at Gelber Group, where I managed a $200MM proprietary book and wrote Python libraries to simulate quantitative strategies. I am deeply interested in working at the intersection of financial markets and technology, and I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new opportunities.
