About Alejandro Sanchez Lozano
I’m a freshman Mechanical Engineering student at Purdue University in Indianapolis, and I\'ve had a lifelong passion for motorsports, especially Formula 1. My main interests lie in the aerodynamics, and mechanical design that define high-performance racing cars. I aspire to contribute to the future of automotive innovation, combining my technical education with my passion for motorsports to design and develop racing and road vehicles. I’m eager to gain hands-on experience through internships, and collaboration with industry professionals.Beyond engineering, I’m an active sports enthusiast with a background in competitive tennis, having competed at the regional level in Spain. I’ve also played soccer and practiced alpine skiing from a young age. These sports have shaped my discipline, resilience, and strategic thinking.I have also explored research and leadership through diverse experiences, such as: conducting a research project on nanocellulose reinforcement in racing car tyres, participating in Model United Nations as a delegate, and leading part of a fundraising initiative to support the creation of a school in Kenya. These projects strengthened my skills in team leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving, which I aim to apply in the engineering world, particularly in the motorsports and automotive industries.
