Welcome to my LinkedIn Profile! I am currently the CEO at Keter, a global leader in resin-based, innovative products with operations in North America, Europe and Israel. We have a long and proud history of creating products that make the everyday life better, and in 2017 we began a journey to transform the company into a global consumer products leader built on strategic pillars of innovation, sustainability and digital. I was born in Colombia, and completed my Masters in Business Administration at the University of Texas. After graduating, I joined Rubbermaid, where I developed my skills in product management, consumer products, innovation and manufacturing. I then joined Sunbeam, a housewares company led by CEO Al Dunlap: it was a time of growth and learning how to be resilient in the face of uncertainty while the company emerged from bankruptcy as American Household. I led the US Small Appliance Business Unit at Jarden, a leading portfolio of well-known brands such as Mr. Coffee, Crock-Pot, Food Saver, Sunbeam and Oster. I started a new venture group called New Sources of Growth, identifying and developing new, innovative businesses. We launched Margaritaville Cargo in partnership with Jimmy Buffet - a frozen drink maker, disruptive in the appliance industry! During the transition to Newell Brands, I was appointed Division CEO of Food Business Unit: newly created for the company that consolidated several different businesses targeted towards food storage. It included well-known brands such as Rubbermaid, Ball and Food Saver. In 2017, I pursued an opportunity with BC Partners to join Keter and I have been the Global CEO since 2018. In 5+ years as CEO, profitable growth and optimizing operations to bolster Keter’s position in the market has been my priority. Through a comprehensive transformation plan, disruptive commercial strategy, operational improvements, productivity, portfolio rationalizations and investing in future-facing capabilities, our revenue, margins and market share have increased. I joined the Board of Directors of Barrette Outdoor Living in 2021 and served as an independent director and member of the audit committee until the company was successfully sold in 2022. I am passionate, disciplined and hard-working, with a strong focus on team building and operational management. I believe accountability in leadership is of utmost importance and is one of the ways that the world of business will transition to sustainable and equitable practices.
