Regional Credit Manager, 2015 – PresentCredit Manager, 2011 – 2015As the Regional Credit Manager, I head the credit granting process with a credit limit authority of up to $5M and issuing recommendations for credit limits of up to $100M; and supervise three team members. Communicate with the Business Owners and senior management on credit limits, creditworthiness and financial conditions, and collection issues; and collaborate with the Head of Distressed Research and other professionals in analyzing complex, multibillion creditworthiness issues. Negotiate escalated payment issues; and work with legal counsel in approving applicable settlement agreements. Served as a key team member in the development and improvement of complex credit and financial models.My accomplishments include saving $13M from a preferential liability claim loss through swift lien filings and strategic negotiations; reduced the resolution time from weeks to days by leading a new procedure in the GetPaid collection software encompassing process mapping, designing manual and reports, and developing a new dispute procedure; and enhanced the operational efficiencies by collaborating with the IT Development on innovative functionalities and improvements in the SAP system.In addition, I provided a career development platform by mentoring junior Credit Managers / Analysts and Collectors; conducted training and development sessions with staff members on the systems and collection procedures; and served as a Presenter at the annual conference on the strategies at maximizing impact and reducing cost.
