ABOUT ALEJANDRO GOMEZ-VISO
I am currently a Fellow (House Staff Officer) in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) at Duke Medical Center. My training focuses on female pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary and defecatory dysfunction. By the end of my fellowship training, I will be proficient at minimally invasive pelvic surgery (robotic and laparoscopic) as well as vaginal surgery. A third of my time in fellowship will be dedicated to clinical research with a focus on perioperative optimization and patient reported outcomes. I recently completed my Residency training in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University (NYU) Grossman School of Medicine, affiliated with NYU Langone Health (Manhattan and Brooklyn) and Bellevue Hospital.I received my MD degree from NYU. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Biology and Biochemistry with summa cum laude and general honors from the University of Miami.Please message me if you would like to collaborate on any future endeavors.
