I am an experienced Area Manager of People, and Culture in the hospitality industry. I have a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management from New Mexico State University. I am skilled in employee training, full cycle recruitment, onboarding, and program coordination. I am passionate about developing and implementing initiatives to increase employee retention and representation in the workforce.    As an Area People and Culture Manager, I am responsible for providing support to three Kimpton Hotels along with three restaurants and a bar. My role involves overseeing the entire recruitment cycle, from managing job postings within budget and staffing guidelines to coordinating local and university career fairs. In addition, I work closely with leaders to offer coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action while ensuring compliance with employment laws and HR best practices. I also train multiple internal development classes for leaders & line level associates My focus on championing employee relations initiatives, including employee surveys, luncheons, and recognition programs, aims to enhance the overall employee experience. Collaborating with Hotel & Restaurant General Managers and Department Heads, I strive to achieve excellence in employee satisfaction scores, which are measured through annual surveys. As part of my responsibilities, I also lead performance management administration, conduct timely exit and stay interviews, and monitor trends. I take pride in ensuring consistent compliance with all federal, state, and city Employment and Labor laws. Additionally, I train and mentor a coordinator in People and Culture best practices.
