As Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer, I’m responsible for the execution of multiple engineering initiatives related to reservoir enhancement for multi domain projects across different basins in the U.S, mainly for Delaware, Midland, Eagleford, and Marcellus basins; in charge of communication with multiple clients to develop reservoir characterization strategies that will help to understand and optimize the development of multiple areas, this includes large presentations for multiple clients with different technical background and objectives.My main duties are related to building dynamic reservoir simulation models used to estimate and quantify effectiveness of hydraulic fracture stimulations, as well used for assessment of petrophysical interpretation and geomodel quality; this process includes a wide variety of task and duties including:• Fluid characterization for different reservoir fluids such as gas, black oil, volatile oil, and gas condensate.• Rate transient analysis to estimate SRV and hydraulic fracture geometries.• Decline curve analysis to evaluate the performance of existing wells.• Pressure transient analysis• Production data analysis to understand well performance and potential issues during production history.• Lateral landing optimization to identify best potential zones to land wells based on rock quality and flow performance• Reservoir characterization and flow performance analysis. • Basic geomodelling for layer cake geomodels based on well log data.• Reservoir engineering mentoring.
