About Alejandro A.
I am a public health professional & researcher passionate about using qualitative and quantitative approaches to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate health-related policies, programs, and initiatives that aim to prevent non-communicable diseases, especially in low-middle income countries and vulnerable populations. My international and domestic work experience and my personal background allow me to produce high-quality deliverables while harmonizing stakeholders\' needs efficiently by using a participatory approach that considers the existing health inequities and the social determinants that drive poor health outcomes. My interests and previous work include the intersectionality of health, language, and research; program and policy development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; nutritional and epidemiological transitions due to economic development; health disparities in urban populations; health and migration; non-pharmaceutical interventions; community needs assessment; quality control in healthcare; community health/health promotion education programs; nutrition and physical activity programs at schools; healthy aging, among others.
