As a nonprofit leader and advocate, I aim to advance a more equitable and inclusive arts world by supporting organizations that help people live in a state of wholeness, wellness, and justice.In 2022 I founded ADC Consulting, a boutique arts consultancy firm equipping mission-driven organizations to create long-term cultural impact through research, grant making, advocacy, project management, and organizational change.With 15+ years of experience and a deep network of highly skilled collaborators, I\'m known as the \"Olivia Pope of Arts and Culture\" for my reputation of getting results. I\'m proud to sit on the boards of Nonprofit New York and New Yorkers for Culture and Arts as well as the leadership council of Creatives Rebuild New York, a $125 million program established by The Mellon Foundation, the Ford Foundation and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. In my time as the Executive Director of Dance/NYC, I increased the organization’s annual budget by 245% and tripled staffing capacity. My work on cultural policy earned me appointments to NYC Mayor-Elect Eric Adams’ Transition Committee on Parks, Arts & Culture and A Better Contract for New York’s Joint Task Force. Now as a consultant for Dance/NYC, I continue to lead the groundbreaking Dance Industry Census I began as head of research–a first-of-its-kind effort to count every dance worker, business, and entity in the metropolitan NYC area.Originally from Medellin, Colombia, I was a proud Queens resident for 17 years but have now set down new roots in the greater Seattle area. I identify as a white, immigrant, latina believe healthy communities need a strong arts and culture sector and I remain committed to anti-racist practices that ensure artists can thrive in the United States.I believe change is possible when supported by follow-through and hard work.I believe in clear communication and feel strongly that our word is our honor.I believe in approaching work from a space of generosity and giving credit where credit is due.I believe that being connected to community makes all the difference in the world. I believe that white supremacy is the root of all that is hurting the world and we must actively unlearn it to build a world where it can be eradicatedI believe that divinity lives in the relationships we share with each other and with the planet.
