About Alejandra Castelao
Alejandra is a Senior Experience Design Lead with 15+ years of experience and a proven track record of helping Fortune 500 companies and early-stage startups bring their ideas to life. With a BA in Industrial Design and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Design, Alejandra is skilled in designing experiences at the intersection of digital, physical and immersive.Prior to joining Dolby Labs she led the Connected Products & Spaces team as Accenture Song\'s North America Industrial Design Craft Lead on a variety of projects, both physical and immersive. From research and usability testing to launching full-fledged consumer experiences and products, she is adept at overseeing all stages of the design process. With a strong focus on extended reality (XR) creative direction, Alejandra has also played a key role in the design and creation of XR experiences for immersive mediums.Alejandra got her start designing furniture and interior spaces for boutique hotels and restaurants before making her jump into tech. In the past decade she\'s worked for renowned design consultancies such as frog design and led the physical experience design and deployment of concierge-style primary care clinics for Forward, a healthcare startup named one of Time Magazine\'s best 25 inventions of 2017.
