I\'m an innovative, forward-thinking professional with a proven background in event production, strengthening public image, managing public awareness campaigns and fundraising. I hold strong background in non-profit management and radio promotions. I\'m bilingual (English & Spanish) and coordinate effectively within diverse, fast-paced environments.I recently worked as the Development Director for Special Olympics Texas for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the East Texas Region. I produced various types of events for Law Enforcement officers to participate and fund raise for Special Olympics Texas. Some of the events were Bowling with Badges, Polar Plunges, 5K’s runs and walks, Fire Truck Pulls and luncheons just to name a few.From 2009 to 2016, I held the Executive Director position at the Down Syndrome Association of Houston. Here I lead all non-profit marketing, public relations, special events, fundraising activities and program development for the Houston market with a creative and unique touch better serve the disability community.My media and communications background come from working from more than a decade with Univision Communications in New York City and Houston. This arena has led me to be a respected leader of innovative ideas, creative awareness packages, membership communications, develop sponsorship material for events, places and campaigns.
