ABOUT ALEJANDRA GONZALEZ
I\'m a pre-medical student at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences with a Minor in French Studies. I moved from Mexico to Texas 15 years ago, and I\'m fluent in English and Spanish. Growing up between two cultures helped me see how access to healthcare and education can differ greatly — and that realization is what sparked my passion for medicine and service in underserved communities. I hope to dedicate my future career to bridging those gaps through empathy, education, and culturally informed care.I’ve been fortunate to explore healthcare and science from multiple perspectives — as an undergraduate researcher at RVC-London, a volunteer at Ascension/Dell Seton Medical Center, and a medical observer in Barcelona. I have acquired meaningful leadership skills as Volunteer Coordinator for Students Expanding Austin Literacy (SEAL) which keeps me grounded in service. I hope to continue serving the community in my future career in healthcare.I’m excited to keep learning, connecting, and using science as a bridge toward better, more equitable healthcare for all.
