Oversees the Indirect Spend team to ensure all purchases optimize value and quality received, while ensuring that goods or services will meet specifications presented by other departments. Identify opportunities to aggregate spend which in turn will increase cost savings. Manage and develop Indirect Spend team to ensure strong working relationships with our internal customers and vendors are being created and maintained. Ensures company’s purchasing policies and procedures are being enforced and that all purchase requisitions and other purchase documents comply with established processes, policies and procedures. Collaborates with General Managers and Director of FMO Support to strategically identify opportunities to aggregate spend into National Contracts. Research vendor opportunities to promote a healthy supply base. Develop additional sources for single-sourced goods or services. Responsible and accountable for the development, communication and implementation of National, regional, and local sourcing strategies. Accountable for all supplier selection decisions within Indirect categories. Experienced in using a variety of purchasing concepts, practices, and procedures. Relied on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsible for setting performance objectives and strategy within category.• Managed the design and implementation of category strategies to attain year over year material cost reduction (PPV/MPV), material quality/delivery improvements and inventory reduction targets through the use of appropriate supply chain tools.• Lead strategic sourcing process of team formation, research, evaluation, and structure. To include RFQ development, quotation reviews (traditional and on-line reverse auctions), supplier/contract negotiations and supplier development.
