About Alec Milton
I am a recent graduate of the Business School of the University of Miami with a major in Entrepreneurship with a minor in Marketing. I am currently working in the Real Estate and Management Industry with heavy focus on the customer service aspect of leasing and maintenance of residential communities. I am currently training to be an Executive with United Property Management, a vertically integrated real estate development and management company based in South Florida. I have leasing experience and have experience in the lease-up of a newly-built residential community. I present achievements, company-wide issues, and offer suggestions to improve customer service at the annual Management meetings. I have represented the organization at the National Apartment Association Conference where I networked with other professionals in the industry and brought back and implemented ideas to improve tenant relations and increase revenues. Currently, I plan to enroll in a Master’s level Business and Real Estate-related program to continue my formal education as I continue to grow with United Property Management. I also believe in community involvement and philanthropic support of programs aimed at improving quality of life for all.

My responsibilities have grown over the years to encompass more administrative tasks. I assist in supervising apartment turn-around, overseeing the rental apartment community’s operations from maintenance to leasing, and ensuring that customer service, not only for current residents but also for prospects, meet industry and more stringent company expectations. I also ensure that company policies for customer service are enforces consistently throughout the twenty-one communities I help supervise. I also bring new ideas to the company. I played a major role in redesigning the corporate and community website and adding Wi-Fi to all common areas. I increased revenues by discovering over one-hundred unregistered dogs and enforcing pet policy and collection of pet deposits. I was instrumental in adding dog parks at four communities in an effort to keep our common areas cleaner, to comply with tenant requests, and to attract pet-loving residents.
