Intern is a platform for and by the creative youth. Its mission is to empower the next generation of creatives through content, support and training. Starting life as an independent print magazine, sold at some of the finest stores and contemporary galleries around the world, Intern proved that you could make a stunning, meaningful and celebrated publication with contributors who were otherwise being asked to work unpaid. Intern has paid all of its contributors since day one and stands in opposition to anyone who offers \'exposure\' in exchange for work.Our written editorial now lives online and is created both independently and in partnership with brands who share our vision for a truly diverse, inclusive and representative creative industry. Alec oversees all aspects of the platform and has built a network consisting of leading young creatives, leading practitioners, world-class studios, contemporary brands and educators. He\'s currently expanding the content aspect of Intern to podcasting and video, developing the events and training element of the business and works with universities around the world to write and deliver engaging and up-to-date talks, workshops and lectures on creative professional practice. Alec\'s work with Intern informs his teaching and his students inform his work with Intern.
