ABOUT ALEC CARRIER
Former Army Black Hawk helicopter pilot navigating the transition into the world of commercial real estate, with a keen interest in adventure- and eco-based hospitality development. After over 8 years of successfully leading high-impact military aviation teams in demanding scenarios throughout seven countries, I was ready to exercise other parts of my brain in a far less noisy environment. The military transition journey took me to UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business, where I am currently exploring how my passions for designing and advancing the built environment intersect with travel and business. This search leads me to the real estate side of eco-tourism. This niche is rapidly expanding and continually defining itself. As someone driven by excitement and innovation, I am eager to dive in and help further push the boundaries of this burgeoning sector However, I am new to it all, and therefore I remain open to investment, acquisition, development, and consulting positions within the greater real estate ecosystem. When not at work or school, I\'m likely covered in sawdust, graph paper in hand, trying to build something beautiful, or climbing in my van packed with gear headed out on another adventure. Die-hard skier, sub-par surfer, backyard pizza night devotee, and yes, I will bore you with the benefits of cold water exposure training if given the opportunity.
