About Alejandro Assael
I hold a Bachelor\'s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and am currently pursuing my master\'s in the same field at Duke. I aim to drive innovative solutions in aerospace and mechanical design, utilizing cutting-edge simulation and analysis tools to push the boundaries of what’s possible in modern engineering. More about me: I have developed a robust technical skill set, proficient in software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Ansys Fluent, MATLAB, ROS, Arduino, NX, LaTeX, Python, Java, and Microsoft Office. During my internship at GE Aerospace, I honed my project management and technical evaluation skills by overseeing the testing of a development engine. At Duke, I worked on a collaborative project in developing an innovative engine concept for in-space propulsion, enhancing my teamwork and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, I have engaged in personal projects like designing a bipedal walking robot and optimizing truss designs using FEA techniques. Currently, I work part-time at Duke’s engineering makerspace, maintaining and operating advanced machinery. I am eager to leverage my skills and passion to contribute to the aerospace industry, driving technological advancements and pioneering innovative solutions that will shape the future of aerospace engineering.
