ABOUT ALDIS SIPOLINS
I\'m an immersive technology researcher and designer who applies principles of cognitive neuroscience and game design to enhance human performance. I received a Ph.D. in Visual Cognition and Human Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015, specializing in neurostimulation. In my time at UIUC I founded a VR research lab where I developed cognitive tests using the Unity3D game engine. I was co-founder and CEO of a startup in San Francisco developing VR brain training videogames. My work as Head of Virtual Reality and Game Design at IBM Research focused on applying AR/VR, sensor data, and machine learning techniques to enhance learning and cognition. I currently lead Draper\'s AR/VR research and development efforts, from design to prototyping to field testing.
