About Allen Cheung
Hi there! I\'m Allen Cheung, a driven and ambitious computer science student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master’s in Data Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), with an anticipated graduation date of May 2025. Throughout my academic journey, I\'ve honed my technical skills and completed various challenging coursework such as Object Oriented Design, Algorithms, and Intro to Artificial Intelligence, among others. Additionally, I\'ve been honored to receive the Dean\'s List recognition and the Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship during my studies at WPI. But my passion for computer science doesn\'t stop in the classroom. I\'ve also had the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects that have allowed me to apply my technical knowledge and collaborate with others in real-world settings. For instance, I led a team of undergraduates and a radar expert in developing a cutting-edge system for mapping root-zone soil moisture levels on large farms, which involved integrating code from an older model radar into a new radar and building a frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar. In another project, I collaborated with a team of 10 to design, develop, and deliver a software application for Mass General Brigham Hospital, which required the use of Java, JavaFX, Flask, AWS, PostgreSQL, Python, and Nginx, among other technologies. Apart from my academic and professional endeavors, I\'m trilingual in English, Mandarin, and Japanese and have experience processing and conceptualizing Python and 15 different quantum algorithms through a virtual quantum computer with QubitxQubit. I am excited to continue expanding my skill set and taking on new challenges in the field of data science and computer science.
