About Gabriel J. Alcantar

Gabriel Alcantar is a Civil/Geotechnical engineer within the Bay Area. He resides in the Silicon Valley where he is establishing a foundation for his career to go along with his San Jose roots. Gabriel has earned his reputation as a young civil-geotechnical engineer by managing dozens of projects involving complex, challenging sites where specialized site preparation, foundations, and fast-track engineering solutions were required. Gabriel specializes in civil-geotechnical engineering and project management. He has managed geotechnical related design and construction activities and provides program management and planning solutions to clients. His current role focus on planning and management of water infrastructure projects where he reinforces his aspiration to support the growth and future of Silicon Valley. Gabriel enjoys serving his community by mentoring young high school students and professionals. His beliefs and hopes are to inspire young students and professionals to develop their own aspirations while tackling boundaries and barriers with practical knowledge and understanding of engineering concepts. Gabriel is a member and avid advocate for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Associations of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO). He helps college student as ASCE\'s Practitioner Advisor for Santa Clara University\'s ASCE Student Chapter and provides guidance to the youth through his volunteer work with ACE Mentoring and SVEF.
