   Led all aspects of the evaluation, due diligence and investment approval process, including but not limited to evaluation of feasibility studies, implementation of on-site visits, preparation of project concept notes, assessment of project risks, and presentation of the investment proposals to IDB Invest’s Senior Management Team, Investment Committee, and Board of Executive Directors.• Led the identification, origination, and execution of multi-million-dollar projects that entailed equity and debt investments in both Private Equity and Private Debt funds across Latin America. Structured investments in funds targeting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises; impact investing; microfinance institutions; infrastructure, energy, water & sanitation, social infrastructure; and mixed-use & residential real estate.• Moreover, engaged in a US$40 million investment in a FIDC, which aimed at providing financing to middle-market companies in Brazil. Additionally, engaged in a US$30 million lending project to a non-bank financial institution in Costa Rica to support its efforts to increase access to mortgage financing targeted to the social housing segment.• Coordinated with the environmental, social and governance safeguards, finance, development effectiveness, legal, and risk functions throughout the project structuring and closing of deals. Negotiated the legal structure, including commercial terms and conditions in investment funds domiciled in the USA, Canada; Luxembourg, Brazil (e.g. FIPs and FIDCs); Mexico; Colombia; and Chile.• Developed key relationships in the private sector development communities by liaising with industry authorities, potential clients, potential partners, and stakeholders.• Performed portfolio supervision activities, including the participation in the Advisory Committees of Private Equity funds that are part of IDB Invest’s portfolio.• Provided coaching, mentoring and technical support to colleagues across the organization.
