ABOUT ALBERTO BRANDL
I\'m an enthusiast aerospace engineer currently working as equipment engineer in Leonardo. I earned my PhD in 2020 in Aerospace Engineering and the main focus of my research was on modelling and development of avionic algorithms. I have worked on Bayesian estimators, aircraft dynamic models and sensors simulation. My studies were focused on the implementation of Artificial Neural Network on aircraft systems with the aim of a possible certification of Virtual Sensors and Sense-and-Avoid systems. In my opinion, the statistical details behind ML are of particular interest and they hide the answer to the most challenging industrial and technological questions that we have today. In the past, my bachelor\'s thesis was on thermal and structural modeling of nanosatellite.
