Fluid Dynamics Area – Research and Development Department Joined the Research and Development Team within the Fluid Dynamics Area, contributing to activities related to fluid dynamics analysis, with a primary focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Main tasks and responsibilities included: • Execution of Multi-DoF VOF virtual towing tank simulations for both planing and displacement hulls in calm water conditions, aimed at predicting resistance and dynamic performance; • Development of Multi-DoF VOF simulations for hull seakeeping assessment under regular and irregular wave conditions; • Multi-component gas flow simulations to predict exhaust gas dispersion from high funnel configurations; • Aerodynamic analyses to investigate airflow recirculation in cockpit areas and optimize fly deck windbreak geometry; • Multi-DoF VOF simulations for the optimization of exhaust gas scoop design, ensuring proper engine counterpressure conditions; • Thermodynamic simulations to evaluate temperature and pressure distributions within the Engine Room (ER), supporting ventilation system optimization; • Thermal comfort simulations to assess and improve HVAC system efficiency within yacht interior spaces; • Additional numerical simulations addressing aerodynamic and hydrodynamic performance of company yacht models.
