ABOUT ALBERT WILHELMY
Hi, my name is Albert Wilhelmy and I am currently studying Electrical Engineering and Astronomy at Case Western Reserve University. I have a dream of using my skills in engineering and writing to build projects that positively impact people, and a passion for thinking of new ways of tackling problems. Under my belt I have 3 summers of invaluable experience working at the NASA Glenn Research Center with the SCaN internship program. There I learned, and eventually helped to write code for cognitive communications software pertaining to software defined radios with applications on current and future NASA missions. I have also gained extremely beneficial experience during my internship with Karpinski Engineering where I helped in the creation of electrical power plans for the construction of new Cleveland Clinic hospital sites in both Ohio and Florida. I have gotten to try my hands at the educational side of engineering as well, working as a lab assistant in the CWRU ISSAC\'s program, testing and packaging educational kits for undergraduate students who take CWRU\'s \'Intro to Connected Devices\' course, as well as testing and packaging Lego Air Monitoring Kits for use by Middle School students at the Cleveland Great Lakes Science Center. Outside of the classroom, I play quarterback on the CWRU football team, am working on editing and revising my first novel, always tinkering with electronics, and of course an enthusiast of all things Star Wars.
