About Albert Rivera

Hello, world! I’m Albert Rivera, a third-year Electrical Engineering student at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to compete in two Region 5 Robotics Competitions as both a software and hardware engineer, where I gained hands-on experience in autonomous robotics and systems integration. In addition to engineering, I’ve served as a tutor in mathematics (Algebra through Calculus II) and computer science (Intro to C++ through Data Structures and Algorithms). I’m an active member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and currently serve as the Networking Director for the Brownsville Branch. This summer, I’m interning at Bechtel Energy as an Electrical Field Engineer, contributing to large-scale energy infrastructure projects. Each of these experiences has helped shape my technical skills, leadership, and adaptability—and I’m excited for what comes next!
