As a dedicated professional working with Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Laitkroh block, I am passionate about empowering individuals and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across over 95 villages. My role involves designing and implementing initiatives that cater to the unique needs of PWDs, enabling them to access opportunities and benefits that enhance their livelihoods.Through my work with MSRLS and the Block Office, I focus on promoting inclusive development and sustainable income generation for PWDs. This involves identifying and supporting Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDPs) that can be tailored to the skills and interests of PWDs, thereby ensuring their economic empowerment.Some key aspects of my role include- Identifying and mobilizing PWDs to form SHGs, which can collectively access resources, training, and support- Collaborating with MSRLS and the Block Office to develop and implement livelihood programs that cater to the needs of PWDs- Providing training and capacity-building support to PWDs, enabling them to acquire new skills and enhance their employability- Facilitating linkages between PWDs and potential employers, markets, or financial institutions- Monitoring and evaluating the impact of these initiatives, making adjustments as needed to ensure maximum benefit for PWDsBy working closely with PWDs, SHGs, and local stakeholders, I aim to create a more inclusive and supportive environment that enables PWDs to realize their full potential and contribute to the economic and social development of their communities. Through these efforts, I hope to make a lasting impact on the lives of PWDs in the Laitkroh block, promoting their dignity, autonomy, and economic well-being.
