About Albert Lee
I am an economist and data scientist with more than two decades of experience applying statistical and econometric methods to federal policy, enforcement, and complex litigation. I founded Summit Consulting in 2003 and have grown it into an analytics firm recognized nationally for its technical rigor, mission-driven culture, and ISO-certified operational excellence.My work spans housing policy, algorithmic fairness, federal credit programs, discrimination analysis, and the modernization of federal statistical systems. I have authored more than 35 expert reports, testified in federal and state courts, and played key analytic roles in major enforcement actions led by FHFA, DOJ, CFPB, and HUD. My modeling approaches have been adopted by agencies, accepted by courts, and used to inform national policy reforms.Beyond client work, I invest deeply in leadership and service. I serve as a Trustee of Harvey Mudd College, support graduate and undergraduate research through endowed fellowships at UCLA and USC, and help advance the statistics profession through roles with the American Statistical Association, including DataFest leadership and work on the Advanced Data Scientist certification program.
