Recognized thought leader and visionary of the wider Data Industry, skilled at coupling his technical acumen and story-telling abilities to articulate business value with startups/scale-ups, small and large businesses who are leaning into Data, AI, and Technology as a competitive advantage, while supported by a mature data governance framework.He is also a strong advocate of diversity and inclusion and has undertaken many initiatives to foster a culture of belonging in the workplace. His specialty is influencing change, scaling operations, and creating communities amongst technologist and non-technologists by rolling up his sleeves and getting into the details, while keeping the strategic intent in mind.In the data maturity journey, Albert spearheaded the rollout of Walmart’s Enterprise wide Self-Serve Federated approach ensuring the sustainability of the largest Data Governance program at the scale of Walmart, as it continues to unlock the value of data.Prior to this Albert has worked across several verticals & sectors, he is one of the first Enterprise Data Management executives tasked with defining the Data Governance Capability Model (DGCM) following the 2008 financial crises to measure and ensure the ability of the financial institutions to comply with Dodd-Frank Act bank regulations. During his tenure with CIT Bank Albert shaped the strategy of Data Governance and successfully improved data availability for Regulatory (FRY-14Q, FRY-9C, 2052a), Compliance (AML/KYC) and Treasury Asset Liquidity Management (ALM).
