ABOUT ALAYZHA H.
Started career as a licensed vocational nurse and quickly was able to advance my career into supervisor, unit manager and then director of staff development and infection prevention. While working as an LVN I became invested in skilled post acute and long term care nursing and understanding Medicare, PDPM, management of acute and chronic wounds, admissions/discharges and monitoring psychosocial needs. I have worked in SNF, LTAC, Corrections, Psych, med-surg, neuro-telemetry and now the emergency department. I then pursed my degree in Registered Nursing and decided to create a local staffing agency that prioritizes finding quality nursing staff (CNA,LPT,LVN and RN’s) and placing them at various facilities to help combat the serious nursing shortage. I have multiple certifications in management/leadership, infection control, antibiotic stewardship, skin wound and ostomy care and more. Nursing is my passion and I want to continue developing in my career and help other nurses grow along the way. My goal is to improve the issues within nursing such as staffing shortages, nurse burn out, quality assurance and risk management.
