He is honored to be the first and only student from Reed to participate in this highly selective Columbia in Paris program.Alastair was born in Palo Alto, California, grew up in Princeton, New Jersey, lived his early years in Paris, France, and lived his teenage years in San Francisco, California, before enrolling as a Reed College student. Having lived and studied in Paris for several years and travelling to hundreds of cities in 41 countries and 4 continents, he is particularly interested in fostering a more peaceful world through economic equity. Cities and urban development have always been a big part of his interests and life. Being a global citizen, his focus of study is on international relations. He is passionate about historic preservation and contributing to international policies fostering a cohesive society.Alastair is open to working in law, international trade, international policy, domestic policy, public policy, and political campaigns at government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private institutions.Currently, Alastair resides in Portland, Oregon. He is a student at Reed College. He is willing to relocate for summer internship opportunities.Outside of school, Alastair loves to relax by playing golf and visiting museums.
