Retired from my time at Cisco, Citrix, VMware, Oracle, Sun, Computer Associates and Ingres (now Actian), where I was mainly driving bleeding edge technology across challenging markets. Now filling my time with Motorsport, Golf, Football, Cricket and Travel! Also keeping my hand in promoting RallyAppLive, TimingAppLive and TrialsAppLive (Motorsport software solutions). I used to specialise in all aspects of taking new solutions to market or extending/rejuvenating existing solutions, especially around Data Centre and Virtualisation. Working on a Consultancy or Employed basis for Vendors, Partners, Service Providers and Distributors to define and execute go to market strategies and activities. Extensive Business Development experience in developing unique value propositions, compelling marketing materials, social media, evangelisation, stories, proof points, creative lead generation, sales tools creation, sales cycle definition, Alliance creation and development, Partner recruitment and planning, Partner and Direct Sales mentoring, Service creation, Product Management, team leadership, through to the core of progressing opportunities at the coal face, ultimately closing deals. Probably one of the most successful and experienced Sales Professionals in the broad, expanding area of Application and Desktop Virtualisation, VDI, Workspaces, BYOD/SYOM, MDM, EMM, EUC, security, DaaS, Services and extended solutions including Unified Communications and all forms of Mobility. Experience across all EMEAR markets and verticals, with particular focus on Public Sector.
