About Alan Tapie

Mr. Tapie, an EVP at Bellwether Enterprise based in the company’s Atlanta production office is responsible for multiple roles. Specifically, Mr. Tapie has conducted production efforts for the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/HUD agency loan products, various CMBS (conduit) loan products, life insurance company loans, and is highly experienced in originations for various proprietary lending platforms. Mr. Tapie has provided financing across the United States for numerous product types such as office buildings, single- and multi-tenant retail buildings, multifamily developments, industrial facilities, raw land, and self-storage properties utilizing a variety of loan structures including first mortgage, interim/bridge, permanent, mezzanine/pref equity and supplemental fundings. Some of his early career achievements included CCIM Commercial Investment Real Estate magazine highlighting a number of Mr. Tapie\'s closings, including a $15 million, New Orleans, LA, multifamily transaction in its 2007 national “Top Deals” issue, a $21.2 million, North Little Rock, AR, multifamily transaction in its 2009 national “Biggest Deals\" issue, and a $31M multifamily refinance transaction in its October 2012 issue. Prior to joining BWE in 2023, Mr. Tapie’s commercial real estate career began with the asset management team at GE Capital Real Estate then continued on with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital for over 20 years. At GE his primary role consisted of managing hospitality and multifamily assets serviced by GE Capital. Additionally, he participated in various balance sheet sell-offs, including a multi-million dollar sale of an office tower located in downtown Atlanta.Mr. Tapie earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Georgia. He is a licensed real estate salesperson for the state of Georgia, a member of the Urban Land Institute, numerous industry associations, and is a CCIM designee. Additionally he is a graduate of the 2012 class of the ULI Center for Leadership.
