ABOUT ALAN HARDWICK

A chartered Town Planner with an extensive array of skills in development management and planning policy acquired in both the public and private sectors. Experienced in research and reporting on development potential, submitting applications, appeals and policy development and representations, within significant residential and utilities/infrastructure experience.Duties, Responsibilities and Achievements• Research and liaise with local planning authorities to establish policies and constraints and drafting of planning appraisal reports regarding prospective development. • Analyse sites, including local social, economic, demographic and political trends to provide for the development and illustration of site proposals, including input into masterplanning work.• Liaise with and co-ordinate specialist consultants involved in projects.• Track progress of planning applications in preparation and post submission, monitoring committee dates, obtaining consultation responses and contacting relevant experts as appropriate.• Attend and present at planning committee meetings as appropriate.• Submission of representations on behalf of clients with reference to the Local Development Framework, including Core Strategy, Site Allocations and Supplementary Planning Documents. Production and submission of written representation appeal submissions.• Arrange and attend meetings with clients, Councils, consultants, members of the public etc. as required, and where appropriate conduct negotiations.Specialties: Town Planning - utilities and infrastructure, residential, education.
