ABOUT ALAN RANGER

Alan Ranger is a passionate photographer and artisan who has developed his own style over the years through a disciplined technical approach yet able to convey the ordinary into something extraordinary in his images. Alan doesn’t try to imitate how the world looks, but instead the excitement of the world as we feel it. This abstraction is clear to see in his landscape images that have an emotional energy about them and show the world as he feels about it. This vision has developed since 2007 when he took up photography seriously and then worked hard to gain photographic qualifications and success at national and international level. Having gained a \"Licentiateship\" in 2010 with the Royal Photographic Society Alan has since gone on to achieve over 275 International exhibitions acceptances and awards with FIAP (Federation Internationale de l\'Art Photographique) and gained his EFIAP accreditation. He has also, to date, gained over 200 exhibition acceptances and awards with the most prestigious British photographic exhibitions (BPE) to gain BPE5* and aims to add DPAGB and ARPS to the list in 2014. Alan’s solid and proven technical knowledge together with his own brand of vision and creativity has led to him leading workshops, tuition courses and master classes, at all levels. Alan’s passion is clear to see in his images but simple to understand in his teaching as he inspires each person’s own creativity, challenges the myths and preconceptions about what photography is and simplifies the language and technology used to be effective. Alan originally directed his creativity through poetry and his love of music of all genres. These days his images are often inspired by his love of certain musical artists but also his ability to see beyond the normal view and express the poetry of light & texture through his images and offer a view into his own soul.
