As a DevOps Engineer at SciBite, part of Elsevier, I design, build, and support infrastructure for our Life Sciences SaaS platform. My focus is on enhancing the developer experience and delivering secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions throughout the SDLC within an Agile environment.Key Responsibilities:– Piloting agentic workflows using Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to automate repetitive tasks, reduce toil, and enhance developer productivity.– Advocating for the adoption of AI-driven tooling and evolving engineering workflows.– Migrated CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to GitHub Actions, improving reliability and speed.– Trialing ArgoCD for GitOps-based continuous delivery and automated environment sync.– Building and managing infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, and AWS Secrets Manager.– Deploying and optimizing Docker containers and EC2 instances on AWS for performance and scalability.– Implemented Golden Signals for observability and improved authentication with Keycloak.– Embedded security practices through automation, secrets management, and team training.– Integrated Azure Cognitive Services with our SciBiteSearch Chat AI to enhance user interaction.– Delivered customer SSO integrations, led tech demos, and collaborated across teams to align infrastructure with product goals.Platform Contributions:– Ownership of Keycloak authentication on EKS.– Manage customer namespace rollouts and coordinate multi-tenant app deployments across environments.
