About Alanna Whittington

Alanna Whittington was the public relations manager at Tribeca Enterprises, which includes the Tribeca Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival International and Tribeca Studios. She was a key member of the Oscar publicity campaign for the Tribeca Film (former distribution branch of TE) Best Foreign Language Film nominee, Broken Circle Breakdown, and managed regional publicity campaigns for over 30 films a year. As the regional publicity lead for Tribeca Film’s largest release,\"Palo Alto\"​, Alanna secured a feature interview in the San Diego Union Tribune with James Franco and multiple feature interviews with director Gia Coppola. Alanna also secured an exclusive New York Times interview with Whoopi Goldberg for her documentary \"I Got Somethin’ To Tell You\"​ and features in top tier national outlets including Rolling Stone, Complex and The Source for \"The Motivation\"​, a feature documentary about professional skateboarders. Most recently Alanna secured a feature interview for the filmmakers of documentary \"Nas: Time Is Illmatic\"​ in VICE magazine - and VICE.com - as well as multiple top tier regional online and print features and reviews. She is also the regional publicity lead on the critically acclaimed film \"Listen Up Philip\"​ and has secured multiple features with the film\'s lead Jason Schwartzman and director Alex Ross Perry, as well as reviews in top tier regional outlets in 30+ cities across the US and Canada. Alanna is also a community manager, and has experience in content creation, posting, boosting, fan engagement and UGC. Previously, Alanna lived in Montreal, Canada, where she was a communications assistant for the 2012 Fantastia International Film Festival, an international genre film festival that features horror, sci-fi and anime films. She also served as an events coordinator for TEDxYOUTH Montreal and as a community manager for non-profit Half The Sky Quebec.
