ABOUT ALANNA MUELLER

Currently holding the role of Events Manager at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, I have professional experience working in conference and event management, fundraising, and customer relations. I have event planning experience in a wide array of event types, ranging from international medical congresses to weddings to large scale triathlons and tournaments. I have held various leadership roles, managing teams ranging in size from 3 to 11 members. My fundamental work values are based strongly on goals of continuing personal development, communicating with clarity, striving to remain transparent and maintaining a positive and motivated atmosphere. I have strong community values and an interest in providing professional social services, which I have developed through participation in volunteer programs and non-profit organizations. In 2014 I obtained my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology, with a focus in Psychopharmacology from The University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada. After graduating, I moved to Barcelona, Spain and continued to further my career in project and event management, and directed an Education and Events department at an international medical organization, EBMT. Since then, I have moved back to Calgary, Alberta, my hometown, and am now continuing on the path of event management within an academic institution, at the Haskayne School of Business.
