The Hatchery is the University of Toronto\'s startup incubator for engineering and applied science students. I work with early-stage founders on commercial strategy, go-to-market, and the parts of building a company that don\'t get discussed in pitch competitions-

ABOUT ALAN MCMILLAN ICD. D

I\'m a serial entrepreneur and commercial executive who builds technology companies, and I\'ve done it three times as CEO, with three successful exits to show for it.My focus is the intersection of AI, fleet technology, and SaaS — markets where data can prevent failures before they happen and where the ROI for fleets is measurable and real. As President of Americas at Intangles, I\'ve built a North American commercial operation from scratch for an India-headquartered AI predictive maintenance platform. What I do well: taking a technology product that works and building the go-to-market engine around it — defining, finding and closing the first customers, building channel partnerships, a prospect pipeline, and the organizational infrastructure to scale. I understand how to sell complex SaaS into large fleet operators, how to navigate multi-stakeholder enterprise cycles, and how to position a startup against incumbents with more resources.I hold the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and bring board-level perspective to commercial leadership decisions.
