ABOUT ALAN BOOT
I am a Chartered Naval Architect with twenty years’ experience specialising in design and build of composite yachts and small craft, both series production and custom builds. During my career, I have worked on a number of diverse projects such as Search and Rescue Craft, River Boats, Round the World Racing Yachts and Americas Cup, both in the UK and throughout the world. I have substantial experience in using different types of materials, build methods and working at every level of the design and build process. This includes concept and feasibility, component manufacturing, final assembly, procurement, weight calculations and rule compliance/ measurement.
