About Alana Salcer

Strategic design for stories that matter. I’m a New York–based graphic designer with 25 years of experience creating thoughtful, story-driven design for arts, culture, and mission-driven organizations. My work bridges the worlds of creative expression and strategic communication—helping clients translate complex ideas into engaging visual narratives. I’ve collaborated with nonprofits, cultural institutions, small businesses, and corporate teams on everything from brand systems and campaigns to annual and sustainability reports. Along the way, I’ve also designed titles and promotional materials for award-winning documentary films, bringing storytelling to life through motion and print. My skill set spans brand development, digital and print marketing, web design, motion graphics, corporate reports, infographics, and presentation design. As an educator, I also teach undergraduate graphic design, guiding emerging designers in developing their visual voice and conceptual thinking. Whether working independently or leading a team, I’m most energized by design that informs, connects, and makes an impact.
