Program Manager, Flying Eye Hospital @Orbis International

Overview: Responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of capacity building programs that target eye care professionals. This position, through direct project implementation, supports Orbis\'s ability to fulfill it\'s mission of training ophthalmic care providers on delivering quality eye care for their local communities. Details: • Facilitate the development, implementation, and oversight of in-person, remote, and blended Flying Eye Hospital projects worldwide (up to 6 projects/year)• Work closely with the FEH, global, regional, and leadership teams to plan for future projects, including country and partner selection• Serve as project communication focal point, bridging planning between country teams, clinical teams, and logistics teams• Build and maintain cross-sectoral, multi-stakeholder relationships globally, including government authorities and partners• Strategize sustainable long-term regional strategies• Lead team research initiatives• Streamline and ensure data is available for publication and global review• Partner with other Orbis departments to contribute to fundraising and communications efforts• Foster relationships with Volunteer Faculty prior to and during projects to streamline communication between faculty and adult learners, ensure smooth travel transition, and receive feedback on successes and challenges per project• Position requires between 20 and 40 weeks of travel per year
