ABOUT ALAN WILLIAMS

I am a chartered town planner and have worked in the private sector for over 17 years. I joined Planning Potential in 2015, and advise and achieve desired results for a number of local, regional, national, and multi-national clients, whether they be residential, retail, commercial, promotor or landowner clients. I specialise in providing bespoke advice, formulating strategies, and delivering planning permissions for a range of mixed-use, retail, hospitality and leisure, commercial, and residential developments across England, while achieving the best value for clients. I consistently deliver positive results on a large number of complex mixed-use, foodstore, public house, hotel, business, residential, strategic land, and other related proposals. I have experience in retail and economic development, including the preparation of retail and sequential assessments, as well as the production of site appraisals, and the preparation and submission of planning applications. Project work has also involved developing strategies for sites, and the promotion of sites through the Development Plan process and community consultation exercises. I have great experience in making representations on behalf of clients, as well advising clients on the Community Infrastructure Levy. I have gained considerable experience of coordinating and negotiating a range of planning applications for a variety of clients on diverse and complex schemes to achieve deliverable, beneficial developments. I have also assisted and provided support at public inquires, and have led, managed, and worked alongside a range of small to large consultant teams to deliver positive results.
